This is an apartment dryer -- plugs into a regular wall outlet. This is not a portable, counter top dryer -- it's an actual dryer. 22.5" x 24" x 35" It works -- it heats and the drum rotates. You're free to plug it in and test it before you buy it. It's not as effective as a regular dryer -- it doesn't get as hot and takes longer to dry -- but it's better than hanging clothes to dry. No need to iron everything the way you have to when they're line dried. This machine is a life changer if you live in an apartment and don't want to spend time and money in a laundromat or need something dry for work. We used it with a washing machine that hooked up to the sink (that we will be selling soon). We bought this off of craigslist less than a year ago brand new but only used it a few times. We're getting ready to move into a place with a washer and dryer so selling it.
