Antique “Isaac Doolittle New Haven” Moon Clock Dial - $100

This piece is stunningly beautiful, and in fine condition. It measures 10.5” x 8” and does have a makers mark on the back which is somewhat worn and unfortunately hard to make out. What I can make out is PA. USA . So I’m assuming it’s a 18th/19th century reproduction, as the original company, which was run by a revolutionary, was in existence in New Haven Ct. through the revolution until they closed shop in 1804, (one of his Tall Clocks is currently featured at The Metropolitan NY). There is some wear on the edge designs I’m assuming due to polishing, but as you will see in the following pictures this piece is pristine. The dial can still be used if a new movement and hands are installed or as an art piece..
