ANTIQUE VANDERMAN MFG. CO. STRONG BOX ca. patent 1897 American made strong box. Made by Vanderman Manufacturing company out of Willimantic, Connecticut. These boxes are typically used to carry anything from Industrial tools to gold, to company payrolls. They traveled either by stagecoach, train or wagon. This strong box is good condition and we did not alter its state, it is all original for that person that wants to leave it as is or restore it. it is iron and all the wood is oak. Makes a excellent original decorating and conversation piece, could place in living room for a coffee table or any where else in your place. This box is hard to find in this condition as they were used for shipping and transporting. There are not many of these left. Measuring 44.5"L x 23"H x 23.5W and weight is 110 lbs This box has been well preserved and has endless possibility. Everything is original!!! This is for that special collector, plan on buying when coming to see it.
