Ford F-350's & E-450's Available for bid are government-owned, fleet-maintained ambulance cab & chassis with mileage ranging from 80,000 to 280,000 miles. Available in both gas and diesel options, these versatile vehicles offer a blank canvas for a wide range of uses, including flatbeds, rollbacks, gooseneck car haulers, food trucks, or custom RV builds.
The original ambulance modules have been removed and retrofitted onto new agency chassis. During this process, the following preparation work was completed on each original chassis:
- Coolant Lines: Reconnected under the chassis with a 5/8 "U" shaped fitting to prevent coolant loss.
- Air Conditioning: Lines are folded over and secured to prevent residual oil leaks.
- Cab Opening: The back of the chassis cab is covered with clear plastic/duct tape or an ABS panel with fasteners.
- Decals: All agency-specific decals have been removed.
- Exterior: Holes in the cab roof, grille, fenders, or other areas from former equipment are sealed. Roof holes are filled with caulk or hole plugs and taped over.
- Electrical & Battery: Door locks, horn, and other electrical functions are rewired back to factory standards. Batteries are disconnected after parking.
- Fuel System: Fuel fills are folded over and secured to the frame.
