You want to know that the app will do what was agreed, not just that the developer can talk confidently about it.
I can demonstrate the completed work, let you test it, and get your approval before collecting its payment. The same order applies as a larger app moves from one milestone to the next.
For qualifying projects, I do the development work first. You review it. You approve it. Then you pay.
For a smaller project, I complete the entire agreed initial build before your first development payment. You can review and test the completed work before approving it.
For a larger project, we agree on substantial milestones. I complete a meaningful chunk of the project, demonstrate the finished work, and you review and approve it. Then you pay for that completed milestone before I start the next one.
Build → Demonstrate → Approve → Pay → Continue.
You aren't paying in advance to find out whether I can deliver. The scope and price are agreed before work starts; payment follows completed and approved work.
