4th Generation Landscaping & Design is seeking dependable, hardworking, and experienced landscape laborers to join our team.
IMPORTANT: THIS IS NOT A GRASS-CUTTING POSITION.
We do NOT provide traditional mow, edge, and blow lawn maintenance services. Our company specializes in hands-on landscaping projects, property cleanups, landscape renovations, and heavy-duty outdoor labor.
Job Responsibilities
Applicants must have experience performing tasks such as:
Heavy Landscape Cleanups: Clearing overgrown properties, removing brush, vines, weeds, and unwanted vegetation.
Weed & Ivy Removal: Manually removing invasive weeds, poison ivy, and overgrown vegetation, including root removal.
Mulch Installation: Loading, hauling, spreading, and properly installing mulch in landscape beds.
Shrub & Hedge Trimming: Pruning, shaping, and removing overgrown bushes and shrubs.
Landscape Renovations: Removing old landscaping, preparing garden beds, and assisting with complete landscape transformations.
Soil & Compost Installation: Shoveling, wheelbarrowing, leveling, and spreading topsoil and compost.
Planting & Bed Preparation: Digging, removing roots, preparing soil, and installing plants and shrubs.
Debris Removal: Loading trucks and trailers with brush, branches, soil, and landscape waste.
Equipment Operation: Safely using common landscaping tools, including shovels, rakes, wheelbarrows, hedge trimmers, and other appropriate equipment.
Job Requirements
Previous hands-on landscaping experience is REQUIRED.
Must be comfortable performing physically demanding outdoor work.
Must be able to repeatedly lift and carry heavy landscaping materials, with assistance or equipment when appropriate.
Must be comfortable digging, bending, kneeling, pulling weeds, and working on your feet for extended periods.
Must be able to work outdoors in North Carolina's heat, cold, and changing weather conditions.
Must be reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions.
Must be able to work independently and as part of a crew.
Must follow all company safety procedures and properly use equipment.
Compensation
Starting Pay: $20.00 per hour
Pay Schedule: Weekly

If your landscaping experience consists primarily of cutting grass, weed eating, edging, and blowing, this position may not be the right fit.
