Safely operate a commercial truck across designated routes.
Load and unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks or manual methods while adhering to safety protocols.
Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
Maintain accurate records of driving hours, delivery logs, and freight documentation for compliance and reporting purposes.
Navigate route driving efficiently using GPS or other navigation tools to meet delivery schedules while optimizing fuel efficiency.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding route updates, delivery statuses, or any issues encountered on the road.
Adhere strictly to all safety standards, traffic laws, and company policies during every aspect of your journey.
Requirements
Valid Driver’s License (South Carolina)
Valid TWIC Card
Clean Driving Record
Proven experience in truck driving, including delivery driver roles involving load & unload operations.
Proficiency in manual transmission vehicles preferred; experience with automatic transmissions is a plus.
Familiarity with different truck types is highly desirable.
Ability to handle freight securely using equipment like forklifts, pallet jacks or manual methods when necessary.
Strong knowledge of route driving strategies to ensure timely deliveries across long distances.
Excellent safety record with a commitment to following all DOT regulations and company safety policies.
