Sheltering Arms LLC is seeking compassionate, dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team. DSPs provide essential support to individuals with disabilities, helping them to live as independently and fulfilling lives as possible.
Responsibilities:
Provide support with activities of daily living (ADLs).
Assist with medication administration and other medical tasks
Help individuals to develop and achieve their personal goals
Provide transportation and other community integration services
Maintain accurate documentation and reporting.
Some residents need minimal help with daily living (ADLs), such as dressing and grooming.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver's license
Compassionate and patient personality
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently; must be a team player.
Good listening skills and ability to act as needed.
Must have patience to work with residents with intellectual disabilities.
EXPERIENCE: It's good to have some experience caring for clients with physical and mental disabilities; if not, we will train.
