La Clinica is seeking a dependable and hands-on Facility Maintenance Support team member to help keep our buildings, grounds, and equipment safe, clean, organized, and operating efficiently.
This is a part-time maintenance position based at our Center for Learning and Innovation in Medford. The position provides support across La Clinica facilities and is a good opportunity for someone with general maintenance experience who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and working as part of a team.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Respond to routine maintenance requests and work orders.
- Assist with basic plumbing, carpentry, electrical, painting, HVAC, and minor roof repairs.
- Assemble, move, and install furniture and equipment.
- Receive and distribute deliveries.
- Pick up, transport, and relocate supplies, freight, furniture, and equipment.
- Maintain building exteriors, grounds, and facility storage areas.
- Perform routine landscaping, litter collection, and debris removal.
- Assist with snow and ice removal when needed.
- Complete monthly inspections of fire equipment, exit lights, and other safety equipment.
- Spot-clean carpets and upholstery and assist with housekeeping as needed.
- Respond to spills, including biological or chemical spills, following required safety procedures.
- Safely operate tools and equipment and follow OSHA requirements, safety policies, manufacturer instructions, and Safety Data Sheets.
- Provide courteous and dependable service to employees and visitors.
- Complete required organizational training.
- Perform other general maintenance and facility-support duties as assigned.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- One to two years of experience in general maintenance, construction trades, or building repair.
- Basic knowledge of general plumbing, carpentry, electrical repair, painting, and HVAC systems.
- Ability to safely use common hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and current automobile insurance.
- A dependable, service-oriented attitude and willingness to help wherever needed.
