Viking 33 sail boat - $24,950

A well made sail boat by Ontario Yachts, C&C design hull number 12. This is Griffon, an excellent sail boat, with good credentials and a favourite of Bob Perry, naval architect. A similar dimensioned boat to this won the stormy Sidney to Hobart race of 1998. Structurally sound with glassed in frames and stringers. Griffon rates 138 PHRF.
We have been around Vancouver Island, to Haida Gwaii, and crossed Hecate Straight on a nasty day. Plus lots of cruising all over the coast of BC. The gear included but not exhaustive is:
All new marine grade wyring, 12V and 120V with all new switches. New anchor winch, 2 anchors, 2 bow rollers. Easy to maintain roller furling. Spinnaker pole, reaching stut, whisker pole. Decent sails, main has an extra reef, storm jib, 150 mylar, 150 drifter old, 110 for the furler, good cruising spinnaker, spinnaker old. Many winches, 2 primary, 2 spinnaker, 2 cabin top, 2 on mast, 1 on boom for reefing. New cushions inside, foam and fabric. Fairly new quality 12 volt fridge. 390 watts solar panels, on a custom fitted aluminium frame. Stern roller, swim grid, decent BBQ, nice dodger and main sail cover. Holding tanks for water and toilet.
Depth sounder, chart plotter, radar, VHF that also receives AIS, auto helm, EPIRB, life raft, tools, mast head running lights. The engine has new rings and injectors, most recently. German diesel heater, 2 six volt batteries and one starting battery, plus the electronic gear to charge them, via alternator or shore power, galvanic isolator. Slipstream folding prop. Engine has expensive mounts.
There is likely more gear, like new fenders, a down rigger, some fishing gear. Griffon is at the dock in Silva Bay during the winter months, on a mooring buoy during the summer.
A review of the extra gear on board quickly adds up to more than $20,000.00. A mooring buoy in Siva Bay is also negotiable, as is a reasonable deal on the insuance.
