We are in the suburbs and about 45-50 minutes from the metro. Please make sure you are aware and OK with the drive back and forth without any additional pay.
We are seeking an experienced plumber/HVAC person who has done pretty much all of the related works over a long period of times. We would prefer you hold a license of some sort or have had such in your past....as, we don't mind if you are retired/semi retired either. Just as long as you can start and finish the jobs and have the relevant experiences:-)
We have an old house and we have been repairing/fixing or replacing things as needed, and now we are focusing on the HVAC/Plumbing side of things, finally!
They include the following (list keeps getting bigger and bigger):
-uninstalling a propane insert from a fire place with faux brick panel that is vented currently.
-Uninstalling an actual Propane wall heater that is also venting outside.
-installing a ventless propane insert into the place of the old one (aforementioned)
-installing a ventless propane heater into the wall in the old one’s place (aforementioned)
-removing and shutting the vents down and then sealing it (we have steel siding and also pieces of the siding that you can cut and put it in the vent’s place)
-replacing the hookup/connections to a pressure well tank, along with replacing the pressure well tank
There might be some electric work too (light), in connection with these, if you are versed in them.
I reckon, there are at least about 15-20 hours of work available or so, (in my "generous" estimate) and could be much less, if you are very experienced. We would like you to be efficient with your time and not try to extend them as far as you can. You WILL be rewarded for such behavior, we promise you (in addition to the rate).
We would like you to work in a long stretch (like a few days straight) or break it down into a day here and a day there but within a week or so, to start and finish these and not like months and months. And we are ready to go at any time!
We will pay IN CASH and won't bother with any 1099 or anything. We will pay either on a daily increment (depending on the work done each day) or an equal installment. NO upfront/advance payment of any kind! What the hourly rate would be, depends on your experiences etc. and we can discuss them and set this up when we chat and BEFORE any work begins.
