I have a Reliance Pro-tran 6 circuit 30 amp transfer switch. I used it to hook up a portable generator to power part of our house during power failures. I have switched to a whole house generator now, so I don't need this any more. It can handle 30 amps of power. We powered our well pump, refrigerator, fan for the gas fireplace, power vent water heater, and some outlets and lights in our house. It was very convenient.
I also have 38' of 10-3 wire to hook the switch to and outside outlet for $65 more.
