LEAD CARPENTER / EXPERIENCED JOURNEYMAN
$42+ PER HOUR DOE
Established residential general contractor in Nevada County is looking for an experienced Lead Carpenter to join a small crew working on custom homes, remodels, and additions.
We're looking for someone who knows the trade, takes pride in their work, and has the ability to independently run the day to day operations of a jobsite while working alongside the crew.
The right person should be comfortable with everything from framing and layout to detailed finish carpentry. We need someone who can read plans, think ahead, organize work, direct other crew members, and keep projects moving without constant supervision.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
• Strong experience in residential framing, layout, and finish carpentry
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
• Ability to lead and direct a small crew
• Ability to independently organize and manage daily jobsite operations
• Good understanding of construction sequencing and planning ahead
• Ability to coordinate with subcontractors in the field
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
• Ability to identify problems, make sound decisions, and communicate effectively
• Dependable, productive, organized, and professional
• Respect for clients, their property, and finished work
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and personal tools
WHAT WE OFFER
• Starting at $42+ per hour, depending on experience and ability
• Full time, Monday through Friday
• One week paid vacation after the first year
• Steady work on quality residential projects throughout Nevada County

We're looking for someone who takes ownership of their work, leads by example, and understands the importance of maintaining a productive, organized, and professional jobsite.
This position requires someone who can be trusted to maintain quality standards, make sound decisions in the field, and communicate progress and important issues with the contractor.
