About our Quails
These guys run around in 8ftx8ft aviaries so they are happy and well socialized until they find new homes. Some are particularly friendly. They’ve even successfully brooded and raised their own chicks completely independent of me!
The roosters I retain for breeding are selected based off conformation, size, color, temperament and most importantly — who has the quietest crow.
Some have unusual traits. Like little beards or especially soft plumage.
Others have rare colors. Such as our true pure black quail.
Our breeding program is an ongoing backyard passion project.
Over time, as our love for these little birds has grown, our focus has moved away from the traditional jumbo meat production model and towards exploring what hidden gems can be cultivated within the species.
In addition to producing hardy, healthy, beautiful birds with good temperaments. I’ve been trying to select for “lost lines” such as broodiness, romantic roosters, and songbird crow lines.
Hense I do not currently sell chicks as I grow out each clutch to maturity inorder to evaluate each mature bird at 8 weeks for my intended goals.
