Very clean. Powers up and the wheels spin. I was able to get the left channel to respond to a signal clearly, but not the right. These were made in Japan by the Akai factory in the late 60's early 70's, built to Roberts Electronics specs then shipped to California where they were tested and badged with the American company logo...to the best of my understanding and research. Kinda cool. Much like many of the excellent instruments built in Japan. Cosmetically like new.
