Rehoming our Bearded Dragon because we are moving (overseas) and cannot take her with.
She comes with a complete & proper setup with 3 light fixtures including a double bulb fixture. Additionally - Climbing items, a base made to hold moisture and substrate (mix of sand and dirt is ideal — but when moving you will need to get sand and dirt to replace as we will dump what is in there now for cleanliness reasons), a full timer plugin so all lights and heat bulb are automated, feeders, and I will give you a few plants to put in her habitat after you replenish her substrate.
I will include some food items and supplements, if you are interested in raising mealworms at all - I might have an extra mealworm farm I can give you too (not sure how they are doing in the heat and I need to check to see if they’re still viable). Mealworms are like treats to them, not daily feed. As an adult she gets greens with bee pollen daily, bugs every other day (dubia roaches, hornworms, or occasionally mealworms), and pureed pumpkin/squash/zucchini on opposite days of bugs.
Her setup is LARGE, it’s custom built by her previous owner, and buying new would cost $300+ itself.
Size: 4 feet long, 26” tall, 25.5” wide (MAKE SURE YOU HAVE SPACE FOR THIS) It has an open lid (meaning there is NO lid to fully enclose it)
She enjoys time out and running around inside. She enjoys watching tv with or without you. She’s never been around children so I do not know how she would feel about them but she does not enjoy being picked up without support so I wouldn’t recommend children holding her. She doesn’t mind our other pets, and they don’t mess with her but I wouldn’t recommend having another pet that would mess with her as they are fragile.
We have had her enclosure on a coffee table or desk to keep her up off the floor level and able to see things around the room because she can get jumpy or scared if things are happening above her (this is an instinctual thing for the species).
I do have an outdoor pen for her that is very large as well (I think 6 ft long) — this is only to be used while you are with her and during sunny warm times of the day. It is very light weight as it is made from PVC and Mesh. I can clean it out and send it with you for $75 too if you wanted.
If you have no experience with bearded dragons please do your research (proper research, not petsmart research) before contacting me. They are NOT a beginner pet.
We’re not in a rush right now but we are moving so there is a timeline in which she will need to be settled into her new home.
