A Pressure Vacuum Breaker (PVB) is a type of backflow preventer designed to stop contaminated water from flowing back into the main water supply. It is commonly used in irrigation systems, sprinkler systems, gardens, fountains, and other outdoor plumbing setups where there is a risk of backflow
These are required by the State of Idaho if you have a sprinkler system. These are, however, unsightly and are at risk of freezing after you start up your system in the spring or before you blow your system out in the fall. And they are spendy to replace.
There is a solution to both these issues. We have an insulation pouch that fits over your PVB valve to protect it from freezing after you start up your system and before it gets blown out.
The cover provides additional protection from freezing and accidents that might break the PVB valve set up and hides the unsightly look of the PVB valve.
A four-wheeler backing over it or a
vehicle accidentally hitting it could be costly.
