Yard Thing - $200 (North Carson City)

When we moved into our home 20 years ago we didn't have the cash to buy or rent a tractor and we needed to move large boulders. So I built this contraption. The playform lifts in the air, you tie a boulder to it and with ropes you pull it and the boulder lifts off the ground. It has a trailer hook so you can move the boulder forwards and drop it where you want.

I got applause from neighbors when I moved things. Even some large trees. One boulder was about 4 feet wide! It also came in handy when we build a garage. I loaded wood and steel onto it in our front yard and moved those to the backyard and around the building site.

I have no idea what someone will need this for but as you can see it's got 6 wheels that are about $30 each at Home Depot and the 4 by 4's are worth $.

Note: This is not street legal so you will need a trailer to move it. It does not backup, (the support struts only work in forward) and if you overload it it will break.
