The Gretsch G6120SHBTV is a specialized version of the Brian Setzer Signature Hot Rod Hollow Body Electric Guitar finished in a vibrant Candy Apple Red lacquer. This professional collection instrument is famous for its "stripped-down," high-performance design modified to match the precise live performance preferences of rockabilly legend Brian Setzer.
Hollow Body Build: Features a single-cutaway arched top body made entirely of laminated maple, configured with 1959-style trestle bracing. The bracing stiffens the top to eliminate feedback howling at high stage volumes while maintaining an open, resonant acoustic voice.
Streamlined Electronics: Built without standard tone circuits or complex independent tone pots to maximize signal purity. The controls are strictly minimalist, featuring only a 3-position pickup selector toggle switch and a single master volume control knob.
High-End Neck Specs: Built with a stable two-piece maple neck hosting a smooth ebony fingerboard. The board features elegant pearloid Neo-Classic "thumbnail" position markers.
Premium Hardware & Electronics TV Jones Pickups: Loaded with a dual set of custom-designed TV Jones Hot Rod Filter'Tron humbuckers. These deliver tight, punchy low frequencies, clear mids, and a slightly hotter output than vintage pickups to push tube amplifiers into smooth overdrive.
Stable Vibrato System: Includes a Bigsby B6C vibrato tailpiece paired with an Adjusto-Matic bridge on a pinned rosewood base. The pinned base prevents the bridge from moving or shifting under heavy picking or deep pitch bends.
Locking Tuners: Factory-equipped with Sperzel locking tuning machines to ensure bulletproof tuning stability when utilizing the Bigsby vibrato on stage.
This thing is solid, plays beautifully. Virtually no fretwear. Headstock has one minor scratch. Comes with original hard case and paperwork.
