A local cut flower company is looking for an Irrigation Manager
We are seeking a self-motivated individual to irrigate cut flowers in greenhouses and outdoors at multiple locations in the Carpinteria area. This position requires critical attention to detail and is a key position within our company to ensure the successful commercial production of a wide variety of cut flowers.
Qualifications and Requirements
Have a "green thumb"
Be able to manually control the irrigation of a wide variety of cut flower crops
Have knowledge of drip irrigation systems, sprinkler systems, irrigation repairs, and general irrigation maintenance
Work independently and perform necessary tasks in a timely manner and adhere to safety guidelines and standards set by the company
Bilingual (Spanish and English)
Physically fit in order to walk long distances to run water and check on plants and perform repairs on the system as needed
Team player, able to work with others in pursuit of a consistent, positive outcome
Good driving record, as travel between locations in the Carpinteria area is required
Hours
40 hours per week, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM Monday through Friday. Weekend work may be necessary at times.
Pay is DOE
