I bought this guitar in 1973 when my kids were taking guitar lessons and I wanted to join in. It was in the music section of M&M Furniture in Grand Coulee, Washington.
The label reads: Factory #C3274
Made in Brazil 1973
Model #18 Estudante
An online Google overview and history reads: Hand crafted in Sao Paulo, Brazil by the legendary DiGiorgio shop. Although labeled "Estudante" (student), it was marketed as a high-class instrument and favored by professional and amateur musicians alike during the 1960's and 1970's golden era of Brazilian popular music Bossa Nova tone. Famous for delivering the crisp trebles and warm, percussive bass required for traditional Brazilian styles like Bossa Nova or Samba.
The top wood is typically select spruce; the back and sides traditionally constructed with rosewood (frequently older growth Brazilian rosewood depending on the exact batch of the era).
Soon after I got the guitar and was taking the lessons, I lost my left little finger in a car wreck ... and so also lost the best way to make chord configurations. I didn't care enough to pursue the music with one missing finger, so the guitar has basically been in a case since then.
I originally made a soft heavy velvet cover for it ... and then a used hard case was given to me. The hard case isn't pretty but it is heavy and definitely traveling protection.
It has a small ding on the front and some pick scratch marks left there by someone else.
Needs new strings.
