We're Parrish Construction, a small design-build remodeling company based in Carmichael — kitchens, baths, fireplaces, and finish carpentry all over the Sacramento area. Two owners, award-winning work (2025 NARI Remodeler of the Year), licensed CA contractor (CSLB #1115328).
We're looking for an apprentice carpenter — someone early in the trade who wants to learn it for real. You'd be working directly alongside experienced carpenters every day, not parked on a labor crew. Demo, site prep, material runs, and cleanup are yours to own, and you'll get hands-on time with framing, drywall, door sets, and finish work as you earn it.
WHAT WE PAY AND OFFER:
- $18–23/hr to start, based on what you can already do — reviewed as your skills grow
- A real path to journeyman carpenter ($30+/hr)
- Weekly direct deposit, paid Mondays
- Medical (Kaiser Gold 80) — we pay up to 75% of the base plan premium — plus Guardian dental/vision
- Paid sick leave, vacation, 7 paid holidays, 401(k) after 6 months
- You'll learn remodel carpentry from people who won awards doing it
WHAT WE NEED:
- Some hands-on experience — a job, side work, or things you've built on your own. Tell us about it.
- Show up every day, on time, answers phone calls/texts
- Basic hand tools and the intent to build your kit as you learn (we provide the large and specialty stuff)
- Reliable transportation and a valid CA driver's license
- Care about working clean — all our work is in occupied homes
HOW IT WORKS: quick phone call → in-person interview → paid working day on a real jobsite → offer. The working day is paid whether or not we move forward.
