TITLED IN HAND | 90,000 ORIGINAL MILES | TON OF PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE DONE
Selling a 2002 BMW 330Ci Convertible. It has only 90k original miles and runs incredibly strong. This car has been extensively refreshed with thousands of dollars in new parts—both for required maintenance and strict preventive care. The major common E46 failure points (cooling system, oil leaks, and VANOS) have already been completely addressed.
THE GOOD: EXTENSIVE MAINTENANCE HISTORY
The following parts have all been recently replaced:
• ENGINE & PERFORMANCE: Rebuilt VANOS (Dr. Vanos), New Crankshaft & Camshaft Position Sensors, Valve Cover Gaskets, Intake Manifold Gaskets, Valve Cover Gaskets, Spark Plugs, Ignition Coil Packs.
• COOLING SYSTEM (Fully Refreshed): New Water Pump, Water Pump Pulley, Thermostat Kit with Housing, Radiator, Expansion Tank (with upgraded Copper Bleed Screw), Upper & Lower Radiator Hoses, Auto Trans Oil Cooler Thermostat, Engine Cooling Fan Sensor.
• FUEL, AIR & STEERING: New Fuel Pump, Power Steering Reservoir, Crankcase Vent Valve (CCV), Crankcase Breather & Oil Separator Hoses, Idle Control Valve Grommet, Throttle Body Gasket, Air & Oil Filters.
• BELTS & BRAKES: New Serpentine Belt, AC Belt, Drive Belt Idler Pulley, Front Brake Pads & Brake Sensors.
• SENSORS & MISC: Oil Level Sensor, Cabin Air Temp Sensor, Gas Cap, Sport Roof Antenna, Hood & Trunk Shocks, and various fresh relays/fuses/O-rings.
THE CONS (Priced Accordingly):
The car drives great daily, but has a few standard 24-year-old E46 quirks left for the next owner. None of these affect the engine, transmission, or drivability:
• Dash Lights: "Trifecta" lights are on (ABS, Traction, Brake). Usually just a wheel speed sensor, brake pump sensor, or needs an alignment. Brakes work perfectly fine.
• Convertible Top: Currently does not cycle down automatically. Needs the latch motor gears replaced (or fixing the rear window regulator may resolve it).
• Windows & Bushings: Rear driver-side window needs a new regulator (motor spins but window doesn't move). Front control arm bushings are showing wear and will need replacement down the road.
• Cosmetics: Typical minor interior/exterior wear consistent with its age.
