Our company is seeking a responsible, qualified candidate to work as a Full-time, Live-In Personal Support worker for two individuals in their home and community.
Personal Supports workers help clients to achieve greater independence in their home and community by encouraging, teaching and assisting them in activities of daily living. This includes assisting them with personal hygiene, routine household chores, preparation of meals and community outings.
Personal Support workers also:
Assist in maintaining the client’s home and property as a clean, sanitary and safe environment.
Provide access to community-based activities, such as medical appointments, grocery shopping, entertainment.
Support or maintain basic health and safety of client. Observe and report any significant incidents or changes in client’s behavior or physical condition.
Give them medicines on time as required by physician or health practitioner.
Maintain required records and documentation.
Attend occasional meetings with the client’s waiver support coordinator, etc.
Follow all state rules and regulations as they pertain to caring for the client.
Requirements:
-Level II background screening
-High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of related experience and strong references.
-A valid Florida driver’s license, proof of insurance and reliable transportation.
-Must be able to work a flexible schedule, depending on client’s needs.
-Must be certified (or willing to be certified) in CPR, First Aid and Medication Administration.
