Looking for others (guitar, bass, keys, vocals, fiddle, etc.) who want to play:
Blues-based Americana with some jazzy influences.
Western swing / blues / vintage roots music. Bob Wills, Asleep at the Wheel, T-Bone Walker, Louis Jordan, early electric blues.
Songs that have a groove, are familiar-feeling, and danceable, but have more color than standard bar-band rock. Groove, improvisation, and audience connection without doing the same old rock set.
I play rhythm/lead guitar, and sing and/or harmonize. I have decent understanding of music theory and chord structure, but I'm not a music school grad. Not a "pro," but a serious hobbyist. I have band experience in blues, country, classic rock, indie folk-rock.
A band doesn't need to wear matching outfits, but you should dress to like you care. Not like you just crawled out from under your pickup and headed to the gig.
I am retired, so I have the time, but I do not have rehearsal space. Will gladly travel to practice.
Let's have a conversation and see where it might lead.
