Position Overview
Element Arbor is seeking a motivated Climbing Arborist to join our team. This role is ideal for a skilled professional who takes pride in quality tree care, values safety, and enjoys working as part of a tight-knit, professional crew. The ideal candidate is an ISA Certified Arborist, holds a valid CDL, and demonstrates strong climbing, rigging, and decision-making skills in residential and commercial settings.

Key Responsibilities
• Perform advanced tree pruning, removals, cabling, and rigging using modern climbing techniques
• Execute all work in compliance with ANSI A300 standards and ANSI Z133 safety regulations
• Safely operate chainsaws, climbing systems, rigging equipment, and aerial tools
• Assess trees for structure, defects, and hazards and communicate findings with crew leadership
• Lead by example on job sites with a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and professionalism
• Work closely with ground crew to ensure smooth, coordinated operations
• Operate company vehicles and equipment, including CDL-required trucks, as needed
• Maintain climbing gear, tools, PPE, and equipment in safe working condition
• Interact professionally with clients when necessary, representing Element Arbor with integrity
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site from start to finish
Required Qualifications
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
• Strong understanding of tree biology, pruning standards, and advanced rigging techniques
• Proficiency with modern arborist climbing systems and equipment
• Ability to work outdoors year-round in varying terrain and weather conditions
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
• Tree Risk Assessment Qualification (TRAQ)
• Experience with technical removals and
high-risk trees
• Minimum of [2] years of professional climbing arborist experience
• ISA Certified Arborist
• Bucket truck or crane experience
• First Aid/CPR certification
• Leadership or crew lead experience
Physical Requirements
• Ability to climb and work at height for extended periods
• Ability to lift and carry 50–75 lbs regularly
• Ability to perform physically demanding work in outdoor environments
