We're looking for a caring, reliable, and engaging babysitter to care for our 3-year-old son in our home in Camillus, NY.
Schedule
Monday–Friday: 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM
One Tuesday evening per month: until 6:00 PM
Start Date: September 4, 2026
Compensation: $18–20/hour, based on experience.
About Our Son
Our son is a curious, energetic 3-year-old who loves anything with wheels—trucks, cars, trains, and airplanes are among his favorite things!
As a family, we're working toward two fun goals: (1) Spending 1,000 hours outdoors this year, so we'd love someone who enjoys being outside in every season. (2) Reading 1,000 books before kindergarten, so daily reading (and helping us track his progress) is an important part of his routine.
He is fully potty trained but still needs some assistance with wiping.
About Our Home
His father works from home full-time, so while you'll be the primary caregiver during the day, another adult will be present in the home.
Responsibilities
Provide attentive, nurturing care
Plan and engage in age-appropriate activities, including reading, arts and crafts, imaginative play, and outdoor adventures
Encourage daily outdoor play and exploration
Prepare simple meals and snacks
Assist with potty hygiene and other basic routines
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized play environment
Perform light child-related housekeeping, including: Tidying toys and play areas; Cleaning up after meals and snacks; Occasional child laundry
Qualifications
Non-smoker (including no vaping)
Reliable transportation and comfortable driving in winter weather
Able to comfortably lift and carry up to 35 pounds and navigate stairs
Enjoys spending time outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
