Manufactured by the German company Allgaüer Skibeschläge Fabrik (founded by Josef Ess), this system allowed skiers to change their stance position on the track by up to 6.0 cm to alter how the ski reacted to snow conditions, all while maintaining a free-flexing heel and minimal effect on the natural flex of the ski.
