HAVE YOUR OWN STANLEY CUP PLAYOFFS - GREAT GAME FOR YOUNGER PLAYERS
This vintage table hockey game from circa 1990 is in great shape and comes loaded with some extras. Game surface and enclosed “rink” are lightly used. Playing surface is clean with minor signs of play. All rods retract, extend, and turn freely. Rods look to be in good shape and contain a unique "spring" action. Game works best when raised above a flat table surface - note in the photos the game rests on the original box allowing for easier access to the control knobs. Playing figures clean and complete. Puck ejector works but game is missing red and green goal lights - the original knobs were always problematic due to their flimsy structure. In the pictures I have substituted sections of knitting needles - when red one is depressed, puck is definitely ejected. The box shows an overhead scoreboard but it did not come with the game purchased at a flea market.
The game came with two sets of two dimensional players representing international teams. Red team may be Russia, while blue team sports the maple leaf - must be us. An additional two teams of three-dimensional players is included - various years of Irwin and Coleco players are interchangeable. Both sets work equally well - change players carefully.
Other extras included are TWO game pucks and a sturdy storage box - box also serves to elevate game for easier knob access.
The game rink, players, and accessories are a mix of Irwin and Coleco games but overall, they represent a great vintage collectible as well as a source of positive family activity – game is durable and well-suited for younger players
Asking $25. Sorry, I do not have time to sell parts separately. Must pick up in South Burnaby and please check Craigslist for other vintage items I have listed.
