This is a particularly interesting book for longtime X-Men and John Byrne fans. Byrne returns to the classic X-Men era and explores his own vision of what could have happened following the dramatic events of X-Men #137 and the Phoenix Saga.
The story brings back the classic core lineup, including Cyclops, Storm, Colossus, Wolverine and Kitty Pryde, along with appearances from characters such as Magneto, Professor X, Sentinels, Moira and Lilandra. The book also features Byrne's signature dynamic artwork and a distinctly early-1980s X-Men feel, while telling the story through the perspective of what Byrne knows from decades of Marvel history.
X-Men: Elsewhen Vol. 1 is a 232-page hardcover and is the first volume in a planned three-volume series.
