West Crow Contracting Ltd. is hiring Demolition General Labourers to join our growing team. We are looking for reliable, hardworking individuals with at least one year of clean demolition experience. Asbestos/abatement experience is a strong asset.
Our projects are located throughout the Lower Mainland, so candidates must be flexible to travel between job sites.
This role involves performing clean demolition, assisting with asbestos abatement activities, operating hand and power tools, and supporting the successful completion of residential and commercial projects. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, physically fit, and works well both independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities
Perform clean demolition and general labour duties on residential and commercial projects
Assist with asbestos abatement and controlled demolition activities
Remove drywall, flooring, ceilings, framing, fixtures, and other building materials
Load, unload, and dispose of demolition debris
Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently
Assist with setting up and maintaining containment areas as required
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized worksite
Follow all company safety policies and WorkSafeBC regulations
Work closely with supervisors, forman and crew members to complete projects safely and efficiently
Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of clean demolition experience (required)
Asbestos/abatement experience is a strong asset
Fluent English communication skills
Physically fit and able to perform demanding labour, including lifting up to 50 lbs
Comfortable working in residential, commercial, and industrial environments
Able to travel to job sites throughout the Lower Mainland
Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
Strong commitment to workplace safety
Assets
Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation
Experience in asbestos abatement is an asset.
Occupational First Aid Level 1
CSTS, WHMIS, or other construction safety certifications
