Position: Early Childhood Educator (ECE)
Setting: Licensed Family Child Care
Age Group: Children ages 1–7 years
Position: Part-Time to Start, with Potential for Full-Time
We are looking for a caring, responsible, and enthusiastic Early Childhood Educator (ECE) to join our licensed family childcare program.
The successful candidate should have a passion for working with young children and experience creating engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences for children ages 1 to 7 years.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience working with young children.
- A valid ECE certificate/registration recognized in British Columbia.
- Experience planning and providing activities in a variety of learning areas, including:
- Math and early numeracy
- Science and exploration
- Arts and creativity
- Social and emotional development
- Language and literacy
- Physical development and outdoor play
- Experience creating age-appropriate lesson plans and learning experiences.
- Ability to observe children's interests and use them to develop responsive curriculum and activities.
- A valid Criminal Record Check.
- Current Resume.
- At least 2 professional references.
- Immunization status documentation, as required.
- Valid First Aid certification.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and relationship-building skills.
- A caring, patient, and respectful approach when working with children and families.
Position Details
The position will start as part-time, with the possibility of becoming full-time based on the needs of the program and the successful candidate's availability and performance.
