Cooler Master Wraith Ripper (MAM-D7PN-DWRPS-T1), the air cooler Cooler Master and AMD designed together for 2nd gen Ryzen Threadripper. It has a large dual-tower heatsink with 7 heat pipes, a 120 mm PWM fan built in between the towers, and addressable RGB on the side strips and the backlit Threadripper logo on top.
Used on a Threadripper 2990WX (32 cores) and works great, with the fan and RGB lighting both fine. I cleaned off the old thermal paste, though a little residue is left at the edge of the base. There's also some light dust and a few smudges on the top cover, as shown in the photos.
Compatibility: made for socket TR4 (Threadripper 1000 and 2000 series). sTRX4 (TRX40, Threadripper 3000) and sWRX8 (Threadripper PRO 3000WX/5000WX) use the same mounting, so it fits those boards too. It isn't made for the newer sTR5 Threadripper 7000/9000 chips.
Mounting is very easy. Four spring-loaded screws built into the cooler go from the top straight into the Threadripper socket frame, so there's no backplate or bracket to deal with.
Specs: 150 x 132 x 160.5 mm (W x D x H), about 1.6 kg, 44 mm RAM clearance. Fan: 120 mm, 4-pin PWM, up to 2750 RPM. Lighting: SATA power plus an internal USB 9-pin header, controlled with Cooler Master's Wraith Ripper RGB software. Check that your case has room for a 160 mm tall cooler.
Included:
- Wraith Ripper cooler with its built-in fan and mounting screws
- Fan and lighting cables (attached, as shown)
Everything in the photos is what you get. No box, manual or thermal paste. You'll want fresh paste when you install it.
