Green City Solution located at Parker Street., Burnaby, BC is looking for an experienced Asbestos Removal Supervisor, this position is full time, 3-year term (3-month probation period included).
Main Duties:
• Site inspection and make a site working plan and safe work procedure according to the hazardous material survey.
• Instruct works in safe work procedures.
• Train workers for all tasks assigned to them, and regularly check that they are doing their work safely.
• Ensure that works follow safe work procedures for handling, storing, and maintaining equipment and materials.
• Estimate costs and arrange equipment and materials required.
• Identify workers with problems that could affect safety at the worksite and follow up with interviews and referrals where necessary.
• File Notice of Project to WorkSafeBC 48 hours online before start project.
• Supervise and coordinate building interior demolition work and the removing work of asbestos containing materials from buildings follow hazardous material survey and safe work procedure.
• Post abatement inspection-inspect the job site after completing of abatement and removal work. Insure all the asbestos etc. material properly removed according to Hazardous material survey.
• Send clearance letter and invoice to the client.
You will work 8 hours per day and 40 hours per week. The wage is $38 per hour, with vacation pay.
The Asbestos Removal Supervisor should have possess thorough knowledge of hazardous materials, including asbestos; hold college certificate, a valid Asbestos Removal Supervisor Certificate and First Aid Certificate; have two yeas relevant supervisory experience in asbestos abatement; and be physically fit and capable of performing heavy manual work and lifting heavy loads and be good at communication and well organized.
