Property management company seeking a dependable Building Porter / Cleaner to help keep our buildings clean, safe, and well-maintained. This position supports the day-to-day operations of two properties: one located in the Broadway/Fillmore area and one in the North/Elmwood area.
Applicants MUST have their own reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s license, as travel between properties and occasional errands will be required.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Cleaning common areas and public spaces, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and wiping down surfaces
* Performing seasonal exterior upkeep, including snow shoveling and lawn mowing
* Handling trash removal, including taking bins to the curb on collection days, emptying office trash cans, and properly disposing of waste
* Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms and restocking supplies
* Performing light maintenance, such as changing light bulbs, tightening loose hardware, and making minor repairs as needed
* Monitoring cleaning and maintenance supplies and notifying management when items need to be restocked
* Following safety procedures, including the use of PPE and placing/removing signage for wet floors, wet paint, or restricted areas
* Running occasional errands for management or employees as needed
* Reporting maintenance, safety, or building issues to management when observed
Requirements:
* MUST HAVE A RELIABLE VEHICLE AND VALID DRIVER’S LICENSE
* Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently
* Ability to travel between both Buffalo properties as needed
* Ability to perform physical work, including lifting, bending, prolonged standing, walking stairs, lawn mowing, and snow shoveling
* Willingness to perform a variety of cleaning, maintenance, and general building-related tasks
* Prior janitorial, porter, maintenance, or property management experience is preferred, but not required
