Ornate brass tea caddy with a hinged lid and an oval shape. This piece has intricate engraved floral patterns, scrollwork, and a central cartouche on the front. The interior is divided into two compartments. The metal has a polished gold-tone finish with visible solder points at the hinge.
Antique (JD&S) James Deakin &Sons Copper Gilt Electroplate Biscuit Jar. Nice condition for its age. Measures approximately: 5.5” L x 4.5” D x 3.5” H. On the underside, it is marked EP for electroplated. Underneath that it has some model number: 1294 and the number eight underneath that. I believe this is a copper base with some kind of brass or gilt electroplating. Or this is some kind of polished brass thats electroplated. As you can see the inside of the box has a orange hue to it. When I stick a magnet to it, it doesn’t stick. Beautiful piece. Comes as pictured
