This is a convenient and chill spot right in the heart of Brooklyn currently filling 2 rooms out of 5 within our 2-story unit.
We are two guys in our late 20's/ early 30's who have lived in the upper floor of the unit for two years already. The other three tenants are moving elsewhere and so we have space to fill! One room has already been applied to by another male, leaving two rooms left.
We are open to people of any gender, race, sexuality, or any walk of life as long as you are peaceful, responsible and a good communicator.
In total belonging to this unit, there are five bedrooms, two bathrooms, one kitchen, two fridges, a well-lit living room, and a rooftop patio area. There is also central AC.
This is a 3rd/4th story walk-up unit. We are a 5-10 minute walk away from the Myrtle-Broadway J/M/Z stop in Bed-Stuy, with all types of shops and entertainment nearby. We have two app-operated washers and dryers in our basement.
We are renting one room on the lower floor, which is right next to the kitchen and a bathroom, also with access to the fire escape. It is the largest bedroom in the unit and is $1400.
The second room is on the upper floor, also close to a bathroom. It's a medium size (probably 10x8 feet) and is $1250. Both rooms come UNfurnished.
Being accepted to one of these rooms will require your willingness to sign onto a 1-year lease. We (existing tenants) will coordinate viewings ourselves and then supply our management company's application link to qualified viewers. For your information, our management company has stated that they are looking for applicants with between $65-75k worth of yearly income for these rooms, along with satisfactory credit.
The lease will start on November 1st. That is the move in date. Upon your application's acceptance and prior to November 1st you will need to submit your first month's rent and one month's worth of a security deposit. Afterwards rent will be due on the first of each month. There is a $50 late fee for late payments. Utilities are NOT included and are around 150/month.
Lastly, I need to say that this has been a very relaxed environment for the last two years. However, we are hoping to move in a more organized direction with our new occupants. We will sometimes smoke weed in our rooms. Sorry, no pets.
