Synth Library NYC is seeking gear donations! (Brooklyn)
QR Code Link to This Post
SLNYC is a free lending library of synthesizers, drum machines, modular gear, mixers, and other electronic music instruments based in NYC. Since 2021, an all-volunteer team has given hundreds of members (with priority access for BIPOC folx and people of marginalized genders) the chance to borrow professional gear for weeks at a time, take part in workshops, and build community around music production.
We're looking for donations of gear in any condition, including synthesizers, mixers, sequencers, effects pedals, modular units, drum machines, and audio interfaces, you name it. Right now we especially need cases and bags to protect our lending gear in transit, plus cables of every kind: 1/4", 1/8", MIDI, and power supplies (PSUs) for anything from Eurorack to vintage synths to pedals, whatever's sitting unused in a drawer or closet. Working or not, it can find a second life in someone's hands. Donations are tax-deductible through our fiscal sponsor, Powrplnt Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Fill out our gear donation form and we'll follow up to arrange pickup or drop-off: https://airtable.com/appCGcJ3EnaoL7zEb/shrobydg6n1CpHDjA
