This vintage Sony VO-9800 U-Matic Recorder/Player is a professional-grade player/recorder designed for standard-definition videotape playing or recording onto 3/4" U-Matic tape cassettes. Featuring a convenient search knob for easy navigation, this Sony model was known for its reliable performance and high-quality playback.

I used this machine as an edit source for Avids years ago and, more recently, to transfer old U-matic edit masters to digital formats (converter not included) and have no further need for it.

Local pickup in Carroll Gardens/Gowanus Brooklyn, NY only.
