A ministry in Brooklyn is seeking individuals who are interested in the welfare of low income and homeless people in New York and across the US to join a poverty remediation program.
This program involves finding jobs for individuals who are unemployed, signing up individuals for welfare programs that help with food assistance, housing and transportation. We will also be paying for temporary housing and food for people who are struggling. Those who help with finding donors will constitute the board and we will go through names and cases to decide those who need help the most. We want to help 30-40 people per week who are homeless or threatened with homelessness to pay rent, secure jobs and get back on their feet.
We want individuals who can interact with friends and family in their contacts and secure 7 donors over the space of 1-3 weeks. You will get a flyer on your phone to share. All donors will receive a weekly flyer which details how their contribution is changing people's lives. You don't need to leave your home to complete this job. However, we would like you to be available on Wednesdays and/or Saturdays to meet with the team for prayer, testimonies as well as join in community impact programs that are being planned. We believe that God will provide for the work.
