Poppy’s is a multi faceted company looking for a Porter to join their team! Our business is composed of 4 locations, the cafes, commissary kitchen + HQ event space.
Looking for a part time porter/prep cook to work 3-4 days per week (weekends mandatory), with a home base at our cafe location with some hours being dedicated to taking care of our other two work spaces in the same neighborhood.
This position has a huge opportunity to move into full time hours as well as growth within the company.
Responsibilities:
Cleaning equipment from kitchen teams + putting back in its storage places
Cleaning equipment from FOH teams + putting back in its storage places
Cleaning all prep tables + work spaces
Sweeping + mopping all floors each day at closing
Deep cleaning ovens + refrigerator filters as well as other deep cleaning projects as directed by management
Changing trash + recycling bins in house throughout the day + taking trash and recycling out each night as scheduled.
Bundling up cardboard and taking out as scheduled
Cleaning the bathroom throughout the day + at closing
Making sure each sink in house has towels + soap
Cleaning up after family meals
Sweeping outside daily
Cleaning tables outside daily
Ability to work in a positive team environment
Ability to take direction from managers
Light prep work could include but not limited to, chopping fruit + vegetables, preparing sandwiches + salads, organizing and packing orders.
