RTS, a long-running independent interview series, is looking for guests for its relaunch. The show features candid conversations with regular people who have lived through something unusual, complicated, funny, unsettling, or transformative. While it is filmed and recorded, your segment will appear as a 1-10 minute video only, not as an hour long podcast.
You do not need to be famous, an entertainer, or an experienced speaker. We are looking for people with real stories and the willingness to talk honestly about them.
Possible subjects include:
* An unusual job, lifestyle, relationship, or subculture
* A secret or double life you once maintained
* An obsession that took over part of your life
* A scam, cult, grift, conspiracy, or strange community you encountered
* A family revelation or long-hidden truth
* An addiction, recovery, relapse, or dramatic reinvention
* A brush with danger, disaster, notoriety, or the law
* An extraordinary act of deception—committed by you or against you
* A moral dilemma that still troubles you
* A bizarre coincidence or experience you still cannot explain
* A period of your life that sounds fictional but was entirely real
The experience does not have to be shocking or scandalous. The strongest stories usually have something deeper underneath them: a contradiction, a consequence, a change in perspective, or an honest look at why people do what they do.
RTS began years ago as a home for wild and frequently hilarious confessions from unconventional characters. This new version keeps the candor, humor, and unpredictability while approaching guests with greater care, curiosity, and respect. The purpose is not to ambush, ridicule, or exploit anyone.
Interviews will be recorded in Brooklyn. Guests must be 18 or older. Depending on the story, we can discuss questions, boundaries, and privacy concerns before filming. Please do not send graphic images, confidential documents, or identifying information about third parties in your initial response.
If interested, reply with:
1. Your first name, age, and general location
2. A short summary of your story
3. Why you want to tell it now
4. Whether you are comfortable appearing on camera
5. Any important privacy concerns or subjects that would be off-limits
You do not need to write an essay. A few honest paragraphs are enough. Photos and social-media links are welcome but optional.
If your story is difficult to categorize, that may be a good sign.
