Community Resources Point is hiring a reliable, outgoing, and motivated individual to drive and operate our mobile community outreach unit throughout Brooklyn, NY.
Our program helps community members learn about and apply for food assistance and other community services.
Responsibilities:
- Drive our mobile outreach bus to designated locations throughout Brooklyn.
- Set up and manage daily mobile unit operations.
- Approach and engage people in busy neighborhoods.
- Explain our food assistance program and assist with registrations.
- Collect accurate information using a phone or tablet.
- Maintain a clean and organized mobile unit.
- Work toward daily outreach and enrollment goals.
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license and good driving record.
- Experience driving larger vans or small buses preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
- Outgoing personality and comfortable approaching strangers.
- Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Appropriate commercial license or endorsements if required for the vehicle.
Starting Pay: $23 per hour
We are looking for someone who can take ownership of the mobile unit, connect with the community, and help our outreach program grow.
