The Stuart School of Career Technology, a NYSED-licensed private career school in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, is hiring a Medical Assistant Instructor to teach our Medical Assistant with Internship program at our 59th Street location.
About the role
You'll teach both classroom (theory) and hands-on clinical lab instruction to small classes (max 20 students), covering the full MA curriculum: anatomy & physiology, medical terminology, phlebotomy, EKG/electrocardiography, specimen collection and lab procedures, clinical asepsis and minor office surgery, pharmacology, medical insurance/computerized billing, medical office management, and medical ethics. You'll also help prepare students for their internship placement and entry-level employment.
Schedule
Daytime program, Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–2:00 PM. (We can discuss part-time/per-course arrangements depending on your availability.)
Requirements
Credential and experience qualifying you to teach medical assisting (e.g., RN, RMA/CMA, or related clinical background; degree plus relevant work experience)
Must be eligible for NYSED licensure as a private career school instructor (all faculty are licensed by the NY State Education Department)
Strong knowledge across both clinical/lab skills and medical administrative procedures
Prior teaching or training experience a plus
Patient, reliable, and comfortable working with adult learners, including many ESL students from the Sunset Park community
Compensation
Competitive, commensurate with experience.
