Hiring Line Cook – Pleasure Cafe (Park Slope, Brooklyn)
Pleasure Cafe is a new, homemade Georgian-Mediterranean vegan/vegetarian restaurant opening soon in Park Slope.
Schedule:
* Tuesday–Sunday, 4:00 pm–10:00 pm (11:00 pm on weekends)
* Days are flexible, but at least one weekend day is required
* About 25–30 hours per week, with more hours possible later on
Pay: $17 hour + tips
Job description:
* Set up and stock your station before service
* Cook menu items to our recipes and standards, with consistent quality and timing
* Prep ingredients and sauces as needed
* Work with the chef and team to keep tickets moving
* Follow all sanitation, food safety, and allergen practices
* Label, date, and store food properly
* Break down and clean your station at close
* Help receive deliveries and take on other tasks assigned by the chef
What we're looking for:
* 1+ year of line cook or similar kitchen experience
* Comfortable on a busy station and organized under pressure
* Dependable and on time
* Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs
* Interest in vegetarian and vegan cooking
* Food handler's card preferred, or willingness to get one
*Able to maintain positive work environment
