The volume brings together in five large chapters the short stories, fantastic tales, and the most unusual notes written by the Florentine genius during his lifetime. The result of careful research among the papers that comprise the many codices he left behind, the volume celebrates Leonardo not only as an artist and architect but as a man of absolute spirit. The text section is completed by a preface and a publisher's note.
