For sale is a wonderful bass that has served me very well for the past 13 years. I purchased this bass from Arnold Schnitzer in Brewster, NY in 2012. He had acquired the bass the year before, and immediately took the top off and let the wood dry out in his barn for a year, essentially acclimating this Chinese made bass to the North American climate. The TLC Arnold gave it made a big difference, and it's a phenomenal instrument with a brilliant and clear tone. The wood itself has a very tight grain pattern, and Arnold said to me that he would be very proud of this instrument and specifically the quality of the wood if it were a bass that he made. The Jay Haide basses are hard to find nowadays, and it seems like they retail for well over $10,000 new. This bass has been well loved and has 13 years of being broken in. Let me know if you have any questions.
