Cafe Volkan is an independently-owned local cafe in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn.
We pride ourselves on offering high quality coffee, teas, and food in a cozy and friendly environment. We are looking for an experienced barista that can handle high volume while maintaining the quality and customer service that we have become known for.
Pay: $17hr + Tips (Excellent tips available!)
We are looking for an experienced barista with the following qualifications:
• 2+ years barista experience
• Latte Art skills (Strongly preferred)
• Availability to work peak hours, including early mornings, weekends, and some holidays.
• Polite and friendly customer service with an engaging personality.
• Reliable and Punctual
Job Description:
• Greeting customers in a warm and friendly manner
• Taking and charging customer orders
• Making high-quality drinks accurately and consistently
• Adhering to all Department of Health food safety regulations and quality controls
• Cleaning and restocking work and dining areas, emptying trash and sanitizing equipment and utensils
• Closing Duties- cleaning floors, turning off and cleaning all equipment, closing out register, etc...
