Putnam’s Pub & Cooker is looking for an experienced bartender to join our team in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn.
We’re an established, high-volume neighborhood gastropub with a busy bar, 24 draft lines, a strong whiskey and bourbon selection, seasonal cocktails, craft beer and a full food program.
We’re looking for a bartender who knows how to run a busy bar properly — someone who can make great drinks, move quickly without sacrificing hospitality, stay organized during a rush, and contribute positively to the team around them.
What we’re looking for:
Strong bartending experience in a busy, full-service bar or restaurant
Open and flexible availability, including nights and weekends
Solid knowledge of classic cocktails, spirits, beer and wine
Genuine interest in food and beverage
Fast, clean and organized behind the bar
Confident handling high-volume service
Strong guest-service and communication skills
Ability to work well with servers, barbacks, kitchen and management
Reliable, punctual and accountable
Positive, professional attitude
Comfortable taking ownership and showing leadership during a shift
We’re not looking for someone who simply knows how to make cocktails. We’re looking for a bartender who understands the entire bar — hospitality, pace, cleanliness, preparation, teamwork and consistency.
