This is a perfect role for someone who wants to get their foot in the door of a professional kitchen. You will be the backbone of our service—keeping the kitchen running smoothly by maintaining cleanliness and assisting our line cooks with basic prep tasks.
What You’ll Do:
Dishwashing (Primary Focus):
Maintain a clean and organized dish pit.
Wash pots, pans, glassware, and silverware efficiently during high-volume service.
Ensure the dish station is stocked and sanitary at all times.
Take out trash and recycling; keep the back dock area clean.
Assist with closing duties (sweeping/mopping floors).
Prep Cook (Secondary Focus):
Assist with basic prep tasks such as chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients, and preparing sauces/dressings.
Label and date all prepared food items according to health code standards.
Maintain organized walk-in coolers and dry storage areas.
Assist line cooks during peak hours as needed.
What We’re Looking For:
Reliability: You show up on time for every shift. This is non-negotiable.
Speed & Stamina: You can handle a rush and stay on your feet for 8+ hours.
Hygiene: You understand basic food safety and sanitation practices.
Team Player: You don’t mind helping out wherever needed—whether it’s scrubbing a pan or peeling potatoes.
Attitude: You stay calm under pressure and treat your coworkers with respect.
Requirements:
Must be 18+ years of age.
Previous kitchen experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person.
Food Handler’s Card (or willingness to obtain one immediately).
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.
Principals only. Recruiters, please don't contact this job poster.
